Tonmawr

Tonmawr community centre is in need of significant renovation and lacks important facilities required by the local community. The brief was to demolish the existing building and construct a new centre but investigation by the architect and structural engineer showed that the roof structure is very well maintained and suitable for reuse.

Therefore proposals were made that include the restoration and extension of the existing building to allow far more facilities to be provided for the same budget. As part of the design process public consultation was taken and sun path studies were completed to ensure local opinion was listened to and the proposals do not adversely affect neighbours.
